The Al Madina Institute have applied for “Change of use of unit 6 to Community centre, non-residential education centre and place of worship (Use Class D1) and restriction of access to unit 5 to between 153 and 157 Queen Mary’s Road”.

What to say.

The proposed development is too large in terms of mass and scale to operate that close to the residential amenity.

The proposed development has very little onsite parking for an estimated capacity of 500 , leaving worshippers no option but to park in nearby residential streets. This will create noise and disturbance to the residential amenity.

The proposed development has very little onsite parking for an estimated capacity of 500 , leaving worshippers no option but to park in nearby residential streets. This will affect highway safety.

The proposed development now has a single access point for 500 worshippers. This will affect traffic and pedestrian flow along  Queen Marys Road

The proposed development will generate extra traffic and pedestrian activity , harming the residential amenity.

  1. It’s absolutely disgusting what these people get away with now a day’s it should be limited to one per city if they care that much about their religion they will get there anyway
