Great news from Exeter , where locals residents have scared off a mosque application.

The South West Ahlulbayt Centre, a Shia Muslim organisation, was seeking planning permission from the city council to create a centre for religious and community use in the former home of John Holt Beds in Buller Road.
However a number of well written objections (and the support of a local councilor) , has led to the application before withdrawn at the eleventh hour. Cllr Rob Hannaford said “I don’t think that using this car free site is right for this change of use because of the logistical and parking issues.” .
