SOUTH WOODFORD EXPANSION PLANS WITHDRAWN

sw

An application for a controversial mosque expansion has been withdrawn from tonight’s  (27/07/16)  meeting by council officers due to a row over the lease of the premises’ car park. Of course this has nothing to do with the 200 or so objections from local residents.

Regular readers will be aware that pulling out at the last minute (if it looks like the application will be refused) is common place for mosque applications.

Local residents have been battling with the applicants for over 5 years.

The application was pulled less than 48 hours before the proposed expansion of the South Woodford mosque, in Mulberry Way, was due to go before Redbridge Council’s regulatory committee.
The applicants can resubmit (free of charge) if it falls within a year of the original registration of the plans.
Congratulations to the local residents…..ready yourselves for the re submission !

Some wonderful news from Essex , where local residents have dealt with four illegal mosques in Redbridge , Barking & Dagenham and Havering.

For legal reasons we cannot names the premises , since two of the cases will end up in court.

Our short guide to dealing with illegal mosques can be found here:-

Illegal Mosques.

It can be done , keep fighting.

Congratulations to Redbridge residents in securing a refusal for an application for “Change of use from retail (A1) to community centre (D1).” at 365B, Green Lane, Seven Kings, Ilford, IG3 9TQ

The premises (at the rear of a clothes shop) was operating as an illegal mosque since October 2015 (and is subject to an enforcement action).

Although small , its important that residents protect their local shopping areas…or they disappear.

Well done.
